Thacienne has worked with DelAgua since 2021.
I joined DelAgua in 2021 as a District Manager, and in 2024, I was promoted to Field Analyst – Training. From the very beginning, what impressed me most was not just the mission of the company, but the visible growth of individuals, of the organization, and of the communities we serve.
When I started, our team was small, and operations were limited to a few regions. But I have had the privilege to witness a rapid transformation. By 2022, every DM team had grown to include three Assistant District Managers, the number of Community Health Workers (CHWs) increased to 16 per sector, and we led mass stove distributions across the country. DelAgua even expanded beyond Rwanda’s borders.
Through this growth, I saw firsthand the life-changing impact of the Tubeho Neza program. Families shared how receiving a DelAgua stove transformed their health and well-being. I was especially honored to be part of a research project evaluating the Positive Impacts on CHWs Working with DelAgua. The findings were inspiring, particularly how women CHWs, empowered by training and steady income, began to play stronger roles in supporting their households and communities.
Now, in my current role overseeing training, I have experienced both personal and professional development through the company’s continuous capacity-building initiatives. I deeply appreciate how DelAgua’s leadership embraces ideas that promote team growth and project success.
Reflecting on the past four years, my journey with DelAgua has been incredibly fulfilling. I’m proud to be part of a team driving such meaningful change and I look forward to all the impact we will continue to make together.
