Sandrine’s Story

“My work in the community involves teaching households about well being and general health practices. I was trained by the Ministry of Health.

DelAgua has trained us properly and given us more knowledge on the impact of clean cooking. I am happy to be helping the community where I live.

You can clearly see the difference in households that use a DelAgua stove. They don’t usually complain about cough and itchy eyes.

Most of us are farmers in this village and this stove gives us so much time to do that. Because it is portable, some women carry it to the farm and cook while they do their farm work. Everywhere we go, people thank us for bringing these stoves.

The money I receive from DelAgua, I have used it to pay workers on the farm and buy day to day necessities for the home. It makes me feel good as a woman to be able to contribute to the needs of my home.”
