Catherine’s Story

“We are very grateful for this stove in our home. Before we got the stove, my children used to take up to 3 hours every morning getting firewood.

This would make them late for school, they would leave without taking breakfast and their uniforms would smell of smoke. But now, they even have time to prepare porridge and take it before school.

Getting firewood in this village is not easy in the rainy seasons so I also save money because previously, I had to spend 50,000 Rwf ($40) per month, but now I use less than half of that per month.”
