DelAgua Commemorates 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda

DelAgua joined Rwandans and the rest of the world to observe the commemoration of the 1994 genocide against Tutsi.

In honour of the victims of the genocide, DelAgua supported the renovation of Beatrice Mukamurera’s house, a 59-year-old genocide survivor (pictured above in maroon dress with DelAgua staff and local leaders).

Beatrice, a resident of Kigabiro Village in Kamonyi district, lost both her parents, 7 siblings and members of her extended family during the genocide.

DelAgua also invited Ibuka Rwanda, the umbrella association of Genocide against the Tutsi survivor organizations, to deliver a talk to all staff on peace and unity. During the talk, Olivier Ngabo, a representative from Ibuka spoke about the importance of unity and fighting genocide denial.
