I joined DelAgua in February 2014 as a District Manager. Over a decade later, I am still in the same role and proud of it.
Since joining the Tubeho Neza programme, I have gained valuable professional experience in community engagement, programme implementation, teamwork and problem-solving. The programme has taught me the importance of delivering quality services, building strong relationships with communities and maintaining accountability in achieving organisational goals. I have also developed leadership and communication skills that have helped me grow both professionally and personally.

The most significant milestones in my career include successfully contributing to the implementation of the Tubeho Neza programme and making a positive impact on the communities we serve. I am particularly proud of the opportunities I have had to support team success, mentor colleagues and contribute to initiatives that improve people’s health and wellbeing. These achievements have strengthened my confidence and motivated me to continue growing in my career.
My experience in the field has been deeply educational. I have interacted with diverse communities and local leaders, which has helped me better understand the realities faced by the people we serve. The field has taught me the value of effective communication and problem-solving, especially when addressing challenges in remote areas.
My favourite part of my role is working with people to achieve meaningful results. I enjoy supporting and developing my team, coordinating with local authorities and ensuring that programme objectives are successfully delivered. Seeing the positive impact of our work on communities, and knowing that our efforts contribute to healthier lives, is the most fulfilling aspect of what I do.
