#Spotlight - Water 1st International - Installing New Piped Water System in Mozambique

Water 1st and Grupo de Saneamento de Bilibiza (GSB) are working together to instal a piped water system in the region of Bilibiza, Mozambique. In April 2019, Cyclone Kenneth, the most powerful tropical storm to ever make landfall in Africa, hit the region where GSB works.

The residents have returned to rebuild their homes and are beginning to resume normal daily activities. They are also able to resume work on the Bilibiza water supply project. The community must dig trench for the network of pipes that will bring water to households and septic pits for household toilets.

Keep up to date with the project progress here.
