#FutureTech - Emissions-free, Electric Barges are Coming to Europe

The world’s first electric barges will be used in Europe’s waterways this summer, according to Dutch company Port-Liner which announced the news this month.

The manufacturer is building two of the vessels at a reported cost of €100 million, with help from a €7 million grant from the European Union.
