"India needs to stop virtual export of water"

It's about time that India starts looking at recycling water from sewage, according to Dr Rakesh Kumar, Director, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI).

Speaking at a conference on eco-ethical, sustainable solutions for water crisis Dr Kumer also asserted that India needs to "stop virtual export of water through selling water-intensive produce for export purposes.  This is actually water trade.  In a way we are giving our water away"
